Nature Based Therapy

Heather banks overlooking country fields

Nature based therapy combined with play therapy provides a way for people to express their experiences and feelings through a natural, therapist-facilitated process  which encourages fun child-led, self-healing activities alongside containment and supported exploration and inner processing.

We believe that as no child lives in isolation that family systems work is one of the most effective ways to effect positive change for the whole family AND have fun and learn new skills at the same time.

Nature Therapy has a wide range of benefits. In addition to the physical advantages to be gained from taking part in natural activities, we believe that attending regular therapeutic group or family sessions can help to reduce social anxiety in people, improving confidence, self-esteem and overall sense of well-being.

Our sessions are open to everybody, and are particularly structured to be inclusive and accessible for people living with mental and physical health complications, those affected by social isolation and the long-term unemployed. We support families and individuals with diverse and complex needs.

Everyone can benefit from Nature. We welcome  children, young people and adults from all walks of life. We focus on outdoor learning, reconnecting with nature and promoting traditional skills that might otherwise be forgotten.
